On the last day of the experiment you can see that the black pepper section has the largest amount of bacteria, followed by the control section. The cinnamon section has the least amount of bacteria.
The bacteria is starting to grow a lot in the pepper section as well as the control section. There is a bit of bacteria in the cinnamon section where there is no cinnamon.
The bacteria is only growing in the control and black pepper sections. There is no bacteria in the cinnamon area.
I will restart everything and go back to plan A but using agar. Product 1 Black pepper
Product 2 cinnamon I am thinking of swabbing somewhere else because some bacteria can melt the gelatine solution. the place with the most amount of bacteria in my body is my mouth, because of everything I put in my mouth; food, cups, bottles etc. After 5 days there is no sign of bacteria. My gelatine has melted again! I will have to start again.
I have decided to do the experiment again with salt as product 1. it may not look like there is any salt but I have put about 1/8tsp of salt,(and cinnamon,) so there won't be that much salt for it to melt the gelatine.
after 7 days there is no sign of bacteria, but the pepper is melting the gelatine. The average temperature this week is only 14C, it is too cold for bacteria to grow.
