There are five types of Micro-organisms: Bacteria, Viruses, Fungi, Algae and Protozoa. .
Bacteria
Bacteria is everywhere, on your skin, in the water and even in the air! It is one of the oldest living thing on the planet.
Viruses
Viruses can cause a lot of diseases in plants, animals and humans. it is important for the virus to enter a living cell in order to survive.
Fungi
Fungi are like mushrooms except that mushrooms are the reproductive part of the fungus. You may think "fungi - that's poisonous", "mushroom - that's safe" , but that is not true! Some mushrooms are poisonous too. You have been warned!
Algae
Unlike bacteria and viruses algal cells have a nucleus and unlike all the other micro-organisms they are able to photosynthesise.
Protozoa
There are four types of protozoa including the Amoebas, Ciliates, Flagellates and the Sporozoans.
